7 February 2022
After a difficult couple of years for Six Degrees, I regret to say that, after 7 years, we have closed our virtual door .
I am particularly upset as I know that my suppliers are also having a difficult time due to the current pandemic, and other economic factors. For them, selling products could mean the difference between feeding their family, or not, and it is my greatest wish to work with them and support them in the future in whichever way I can.
2022 will be offering me a new challenge, and change of professional direction. In September I will begin studying a degree course in Jewellery Design and Silversmithing at Glasgow School of Art. This is something I have been working towards for the last two years and I'm very excited.
It is my greatest hope that Six Degrees will be resurrected in the future and, as well as bringing you an eclectic range of personally sourced fairly traded, up-cycled, and sustainable gifts, I will also be offering you contemporary and bespoke jewellery, handmade by me, designed in collaboration with skilled artisans from developing countries around the world, and using unique materials that tell a story.
I wish you nothing but health, happiness, and a year full of new challenges and adventures in 2022 and beyond.
